We’re partnering with a well-known global brand, in their search for a Senior Inventory Accounting Consultant to support their team on an urgent long-term contract basis in Everett, WA.
This consultant will work onsite 4 days per week (Fridays from home) and support key areas of inventory accounting, reporting, and process improvement. While this is not a people-management role, they are looking for someone with leadership-level experience who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory records; reconcile discrepancies and aging.

Perform variance analysis, root cause reviews, and maintain inventory KPIs/metrics.

Support month-end close with journal entries, reconciliations, and GL analysis.

Partner with procurement, operations, and warehouse on PO, receiving, and shipping workflows.

Ensure SOX compliance and provide support for quarterly/year-end audits.

Analyze large datasets across PowerBI and advanced Excel; recommend process improvements.

Handle tooling/mold inventory analysis, prepaid inventory, and ROI reporting.

Support ad-hoc inventory projects for the Controller/Assistant Controller.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or relative field.

Senior or Manager-level Inventory Accounting experience.

Ability to operate independently in a complex, high-volume environment (year-end readiness).

Advanced Excel skills; strong data analytics background (PowerBI a plus).

Experience in public company environments with SOX compliance is strongly preferred
