Overview
Beacon Hill is working with a Growing construction company seeking a Cost Accountant to support job costing, project financials, and overall cost analysis. This role will work closely with project managers and operations to ensure accurate tracking of costs and profitability across active projects.

Responsibilities
* Manage job costing for multiple construction projects
* Track and analyze labor, materials, subcontractor, and overhead costs
* Prepare and maintain cost reports, WIP schedules, and project budgets
* Monitor project performance (actual vs. budget) and provide variance analysis
* Record journal entries and assist with month-end close
* Maintain cost accounting system and ensure accurate allocation of expenses
* Review purchase orders, commitments, and change orders for cost impact
* Support forecasting and project profitability analysis
* Partner with project managers on cost tracking and financial updates
* Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 3+ years of cost accounting or job costing experience (construction preferred)
* Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and project-based accounting
* Experience with construction or ERP systems (Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, etc.)
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
* Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
* Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams

Work Environment
* Based in Allentown, NJ with primarily onsite collaboration
* Team-oriented construction environment with exposure to active projects
