International growing hedge fund located in Upper Kirby, Houston is seeking to temp-to- permanent Executive Assistant. They are looking for a highly motivated candidate to provide best-in-class administrative support to the Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and the broader Commodities team for respective business units. A high standard of professionalism, punctuality, excellence, flexibility, teamwork, strong organizational skills, good communication and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are critical to this role. The executive assistant will not only support the leadership team but also collaborate closely with other administrative support across the firm and help be the face of the business. This position will start ASAP. It is 5 days in the office and the hours will be 8am-5pm. This is a temporary to hire position with a starting pay rate of up to $33/hr while under contract, and an $80-100k permanent base salary.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to managers and executives of all levels of the firm and their respective teams. This includes but is not limited to calendar management, expense reports, booking travel, and generally providing a wide range of support duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, partners and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
- Working closely with other administrative assistants to coordinate team meetings, events, and creating a strongly collaborative culture Ensuring conference room and team spaces are tidy, packages and office supplies are put away in a timely manner and shared team equipment is working properly and liaising with technical support and building management when necessary
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner when interacting with internal and external clients ensuring you represent the firm appropriately
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as requested
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of experience supporting high level executives in a professional environment
- Hedge fund, private equity or other financial services firm experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office full suite of tools: Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, etc.,
- Strong focus on high-touch customer service, demonstrated track record of professional working with all levels of an organization, including executives
- High level of ownership and accountability; takes pride in their work
- Proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
