Property Accountant
Location: Center City Philadelphia (Hybrid)
Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview
Beacon Hill is working with Large real estate firm seeking a Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial and/or residential assets. This role will handle full-cycle property accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close. Ideal for someone with real estate experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Perform month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
* Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
* Bank recs, balance sheet recs, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals)
* Track rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and tenant billing activity
* Review AP/AR activity related to properties
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting for assigned portfolio
* Support audits and provide documentation as needed
* Partner with property managers on financial performance and reporting
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 2+ years of accounting experience (property/accounting experience preferred)
* Experience in real estate, property management, or related industry strongly preferred
* Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar property management software is a plus
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
* Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple properties/deadlines
* Strong communication skills
