Beacon Hill is working with a growing healthcare organization in the Cherry Hill, NJ area seeking a Medical Billing Specialist. The ideal professional will have experience managing healthcare claims, billing compliance, accounts receivable activities, and reimbursement processes within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage claim submissions, corrections, and follow-up activities with various payer sources
- Monitor accounts receivable and resolve outstanding billing issues
- Investigate and appeal denials to maximize reimbursement
- Post payments, process adjustments, and perform reconciliations
- Support ongoing revenue cycle operations and reporting initiatives
- Coordinate billing processes related to long-term care and facility-based patients
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare billing guidelines and payer requirements
- Partner with internal departments to resolve claim and payment discrepancies
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience
- Experience with Medicaid and managed care payers
- Familiarity with electronic billing systems and healthcare software platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
