Temporary Paycom Payroll Specialist (2-3 Month Contract)

Overview
Beacon Hill’s client in Minneapolis is seeking a highly capable Temporary Paycom Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing during a transitional period while the organization hires a permanent payroll professional. This role is expected to last 2-3 months and requires someone who can quickly step in, operate independently, and work effectively in a hybrid environment with minimal training.
Paycom experience is preferred; Paylocity experience is accepted due to system similarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full‑cycle payroll processing accurately and on schedule.
- Review and validate employee hours, earnings, adjustments, and deductions.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies with minimal supervision.
- Maintain strict accuracy and confidentiality of all payroll records and data.
- Provide consistent payroll support until the permanent hire is placed.
Qualifications
- Prior payroll processing experience required.
- Paycom experiencePaylocity experience accepted due to system similarity.
- Ability to work independently with limited training.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving capability.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Flexible scheduling options: 7:00-3:30, 8:00-4:30, or comparable hours.
- Hybrid role – primarily remote with the ability to come onsite in Minneapolis as needed.
- Limited training available – ideal for a fast learner who thrives in autonomous roles.
