Receptionist
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $18/hour
Temp-to-Hire | Richmond, VA
We are seeking a Receptionist to support daily front desk operations and ensure a professional, well-organized workplace environment. This role is responsible for managing visitor interactions, supporting building operations, and serving as a key point of contact for associates, visitors, and service partners.
The Receptionist plays an important role in maintaining building standards, security protocols, and consistent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors, associates, and vendors entering the building
Manage visitor registration, badge issuance, and adherence to established security procedures
Respond to general inquiries, provide directions, and assist with basic access or building-related needs
Support building operations through routine walk-throughs, submission and escalation of work orders, and monitoring of common areas
Identify, document, and escalate safety or security concerns in accordance with procedures
Provide operational feedback to improve front desk and workplace processes
Support on-site meetings and events as needed, including room setup, coordination with catering and service providers, basic AV/IT assistance, and post-event reset (at select locations)
Collaborate with facilities, security, and building services teams to ensure consistent front-of-house operations
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or corporate customer service role
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, including senior leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; ability to learn visitor management and building systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while maintaining a professional presence
