We are seeking an experienced Immigration & Visa Onboarding Specialist to support the onboarding and immigration processes for employees requiring H‑1B visas and related immigration documentation. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance, minimizing onboarding delays, and providing a high level of service to both employees and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the onboarding and employment authorization process for employees requiring H‑1B visas and immigration paperwork.
- Coordinate closely with external immigration counsel on all visa and immigration matters, including H‑1B, PERM, and green card cases.
- Manage employee immigration documentation, case preparation, and submission to ensure full compliance with USCIS and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
- Track and monitor visa timelines, expiration dates, renewals, and status changes, providing proactive guidance to employees and hiring managers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee immigration‑related inquiries, delivering timely, accurate, and confidential support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Oversee complex and sensitive immigration cases, including strategy discussions, documentation coordination, and interpretation of nuanced regulatory requirements.
- Complete time‑sensitive immigration updates such as extensions, renewals, and status changes to prevent employment disruptions or compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to immigration cases and onboarding milestones.
Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting employment‑based immigration, particularly H‑1B visas (PERM and green card experience strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with USCIS and DOL compliance requirements.
- Experience working directly with immigration attorneys or external legal counsel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive cases simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
