Title: Business / Systems Analyst II – Supply Chain Planning
Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Schedule: Onsite 4 days/week, Remote 1 day/week
Duration: 3-month Contract-to-Hire
Overview
We are seeking a Business / Systems Analyst II to support its Construction Supply Chain Planning organization, focused on plant and network initiatives. This role partners closely with planning, program, and execution teams to analyze supply chain data, validate inventory and budget assumptions, and drive informed decision-making through advanced Excel analysis.
This position is highly analytical and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys working deeply with data, validating assumptions, and solving real-world supply chain problems.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large and complex supply chain datasets to support inventory planning, purchasing, and execution decisions
Develop and maintain advanced Excel models including formulas, pivot tables, budget models, and error checks
Perform data validation and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy before insights or recommendations are delivered
Identify trends, gaps, and anomalies in inventory, usage, and planning data
Support inventory management metrics such as inventory turns, demand forecasting, and material utilization
Partner with cross-functional teams including construction, program planning, and process execution
Translate business needs into data-driven insights and actionable recommendations
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma / Lean preferred) to improve processes and outcomes
Document assumptions, logic, and findings clearly for leadership and stakeholder review
Participate in Excel-based technical screenings and scenario-based problem discussions
Required Qualifications
Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Supply Chain Analyst
Advanced Excel proficiency including:
Complex formulas (SUMIFS, LOOKUPS, nested logic)
Pivot tables and data analysis
Budget and planning models
Data validation and error identification
Solid understanding of supply chain fundamentals, including:
Inventory planning and purchasing
Inventory turns and material flow
Demand and supply balancing
Ability to explain and defend analysis, walking through logic and assumptions in detail
Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, data-driven mindset
Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, operational environment
Preferred / Plus Qualifications
Six Sigma or Lean experience or training
Exposure to construction, network, or plant supply chain operations
Excel macros or automation experience
Hands-on supply chain experience (warehouse, inventory control, operations)
Additional Notes
No degree requirement – practical, hands-on supply chain experience is highly valued
