Job Description:
- Administering client estates, estate planning and trust accounting.
- Administer Estates, including identifying, valuing, collecting and distributing Decedent’s assets; preparation of estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns; maintaining accountings for estates and revocable trusts and preparing final accountings with receipts and releases; communicating with clients directly as well as with their banking representatives, investment advisors and accountants
- Prepare documents for probate and other Surrogate’s Court filings
- Prepare estate and gift tax projections and calculate available generation-skipping transfer tax exemption and CLAT, GRAT and QPRT illustrations
- Prepare spreadsheets reflecting alternative estate planning options
- Compile voluminous exhibits for tax filings and legal proceedings
- Prepare clients’ billing statements on a monthly basis
- Prepare incapacity documents
- Maintain Trust & Estates department client documents database and locked filing cabinets containing original documents, including Wills of clients
- Meet with clients and assist with execution of documents
- Experiance with trust accounting
- Experiance supporting attorneys with estate administration and estate planning
