A stable, mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced AR Billing Manager with hands-on DMH billing expertise. This role leads day-to-day billing operations, manages a small team, and owns the AR close and reporting process.
What You’ll Do
Oversee DMH and medical billing from submission through payment
Manage and support a small billing team
Own monthly AR close, reconciliations, and revenue reporting
Monitor eligibility, denials, and outstanding AR; resolve issues to maximize cash flow
Oversee billing files and transactions (e.g., 837, 277, 835)
Improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an AR Billing Manager (not just AR or billing)
DMH or Medi-Cal billing experience required
Experience with DMH billing systems (Welligent strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of AR, revenue recognition, and reconciliations
Prior team leadership experience
Strong Excel and reporting skills
