Build out racks and dress cable in and between racks. Read and understand rack elevations. Rack and stack equipment. Set racks to customer specifications Follow all site protocols and be able to work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and corrects copper and optical fiber problems.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Removes and demolishes abandoned cables.
- Identifies active circuits.
- Attends training and safety meetings. Works safely at all times utilizing necessary Personal Protection Equipment.
- Follows all stie safety and operational protocols
- Able to utilize hand tools and small power tools as needed
- Furnish personal hand tools needed for day to day tasks
- Complete written daily status updates to all stakeholders
- Functions as “lead” in absence of Lead Technician if directed to do so.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and components.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of the client in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
- Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent in a related field.
- 1 year experience in Data Center environment
- Previous structured cable experience is helpful
- IDF/MDF build out experience would be helpful
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
