Overview
A growing National firm is seeking a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience to support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced Manhattan office. This role focuses on delivering high-quality administrative support while maintaining a strong client-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Draft, edit, and proofread complex legal and business documents
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) tracking and reporting
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and client communications
- Interact with courts and external stakeholders to obtain and provide information
- File legal documents electronically with courts
- Maintain and organize files in line with information governance policies
- Support billing processes, including time entry, report preparation, and follow-ups
Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal support experience (Corporate or Transactional experience is required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with legal systems such as document management, billing, or workflow tools preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information
