Beacon Hill Associates is seeking experienced Tax Preparers / Closers for an ongoing temporary project located onsite in Alpharetta, GA. This role supports a fast-paced tax services organization that partners directly with tax professionals to deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient tax return processing. The position focuses on reviewing prepared tax returns, communicating directly with taxpayers, and closing files for submission.
This team is moving quickly, and candidates must be comfortable starting without an interview.
This is a full-time, onsite role with a minimum commitment of several months and the potential to extend based on performance and business needs.
Daily Duties:
Take ownership of tax files after data entry and intake are completed.
Review individual tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Analyze taxpayer documentation and verify all entered information.
Place outbound calls to taxpayers to review returns, answer questions, and walk them through next steps.
Confidently discuss fees, timelines, and secure client sign-off.
Close and submit completed tax returns for final processing.
Document all activity and updates accurately within the internal CRM system.
Collaborate closely with data entry specialists and team members in a shared office environment.
Maintain productivity and quality standards in a high-volume setting.
Ideal Candidate:
Prior tax preparation experience required (individual returns).
Extremely strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy.
Comfortable and confident speaking directly with clients over the phone.
Excellent communication, grammar, and proofreading skills.
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to follow established processes.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working onsite, elbow-to-elbow with others in a collaborative setting.
Schedule & Compensation:
Work Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch.
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Bonus: $5 per filed return
Assignment Length: Ongoing temporary project (minimum several months)
Start Date: Immediately upon resume selection
Location: Onsite only – Alpharetta, GA
