A leading national law firm, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy & Restructuring Paralegal to support a sophisticated corporate restructuring practice. This role supports a high‑volume docket of Chapter 11 and complex commercial bankruptcy matters and is ideal for a senior‑level paralegal who can operate independently and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases.
- Draft and prepare bankruptcy pleadings and related filings such as petitions, first‑day motions, disclosure statements, proofs of claim, and fee applications.
- Electronically file documents via CM/ECF and ensure compliance with federal and local bankruptcy court rules.
- Track deadlines, hearings, and case milestones; maintain calendars and case management systems.
- Conduct docket and procedural research using PACER and other court databases.
- Prepare UCC filings, lien searches, and related reports.
- Assist with due diligence, case summaries, timelines, and status reports.
- Organize exhibits, hearing binders, and hearing logistics.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, trustees, and court personnel as needed.
- Accurately track and record billable time.
Qualifications
- Required: Corporate bankruptcy / Chapter 11 experience.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy court procedures, rules, and filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with strong judgment and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
- Experience with restructuring research tools (e.g., Reorg, Debtwire, Capital IQ) preferred.
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5+ years of bankruptcy and restructuring paralegal experience; 8+ years strongly preferred.
- Large law firm experience (AmLaw environment) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate helpful but not required with sufficient experience.
