Our client, an electronics company in downtown Austin, is looking to bring on a contract Marketing Specialist to join their team. This role requires a 12‑month contract period with the chance to extend or convert to a full‑time employee. Candidates will be required to work Monday through Friday on a hybrid model, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and manage marketing content across digital channels, with a strong focus on social media platforms.
- Develop written content including social media posts, marketing copy, internal communications, and digital assets, ensuring consistency in tone and brand voice.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support content strategy and campaign execution.
- Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of marketing materials.
- Analyze content performance and engagement metrics to help optimize future content.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and management regarding content priorities and progress.
- Maintain and organize marketing assets and digital resources for the department.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in content creation and social media marketing.
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills, clearly demonstrated through experience or portfolio samples.
- Experience managing and creating content for multiple social media platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi‑task is critical to success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software/tools.
