Accounting Manager – Financial Systems & Operations
Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid – on-site as needed)
Pay: $45/hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the modernization of financial systems. This is a hands-on role that will oversee GL, AP, AR, cash management, and month-end close, while playing a key part in an ERP migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Billing, and IT to ensure seamless financial processes and accurate reporting, while mentoring accounting staff and providing insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, cash management, and month-end close

Strengthen financial controls and accounting processes

Lead migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

Partner with Operations, Billing, and IT to integrate financial systems with TMS
-
Oversee AR collections, billing accuracy, and payment workflows

Mentor and lead accounting staff

Prepare financial reporting and insights for senior leadership
Must-Have Qualifications:

3+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong month-end close and transactional accounting background

Experience with accounting systems beyond basic QuickBooks

Strong Excel and reporting skills

Bachelor’s degree

Authorized to work in the United States

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

ERP implementation or migration experience

Experience with NetSuite, Sage, or other ERP systems

Transportation or logistics industry experience

CPA or CMA designation
