A well-established financial services firm is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide short-term coverage in a fast-paced office environment. This role will support a large departmental team of approximately 55 employees and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and operational support to a large team within the department
- Open, sort, scan, and distribute daily mail and packages
- Scan and electronically distribute checks and other financial documents to appropriate staff
- Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing checks, mail, and packages
- Prepare and coordinate outgoing mail, including certified mail and courier services
- Assist with staff requests such as mailing materials to clients and internal teams
- Coordinate secure delivery of deposits and packages in accordance with internal procedures
- Ensure timely communication with staff regarding received items and daily logs
Qualifications
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to multitask in a high-volume administrative environment
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM preferred
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic data tracking
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach
