Lending Paralegal

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a temporary-to-permanent Paralegal supporting a growing SBA lending team.
Logistics
– 40 hours/week; 9-5 each day
– On site in Haddonfield, NJ
Summary
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, knowledge of real estate and/or financial transactions, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work within a compliance-driven environment. This role will support SBA 7(a), 504, and conventional loan transactions under the direct guidance of senior paralegals, and attorneys.
Training & Development
– Receive structured training in SBA lending, including SOP 50 10 requirements.
– Learn SBA loan programs (7(a), 504), required SBA forms, and document workflows.
– Develop working knowledge of closing checklist, due diligence, and lien filings.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Documentation & File Preparation
– Assist in preparing and reviewing SBA loan documentation such as:
– SBA Forms and conventional loan forms using templates
– Promissory notes, guarantees, and security agreements
– Closing checklists, borrower communication, and tracking spreadsheets
– Organize loan files and maintain documentation throughout the loan lifecycle.
Due Diligence Support
– Perform UCC searches, lien checks, tax transcript ordering, and entity verification.
– Assist in gathering due diligence materials from lenders, borrowers and third parties.
– Help ensure that documents meet SBA and lender compliance requirements.
Closing & Post‑Closing Assistance
– Assist with coordinating signatures, notarization schedules, and borrower follow‑ups.
– Support preparation of closing packages and required disbursement documentation.
– Help assemble post‑closing binders and track outstanding items such as insurance
certificates, landlord waivers, and title policies.
Communication & Coordination
– Communicate professionally with borrowers, lenders, title companies, attorneys, and
CDC partners.
– Track key deadlines, deliverables, and workflow stages.
– Maintain accurate records across internal systems and shared platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling.
– Ability to learn new concepts quickly and follow established procedures.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work in a deadline-driven, transactional environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Experience in legal, banking, real estate, or administrative roles is helpful but not
required.
Education & Experience
– Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience.
– No prior SBA lending experience required – full training provided.
– Experience in an office or compliance-based environment preferred but not mandatory.
