HR Generalist
Location: Maple Grove, MN (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
HRIS: Paycom (modules include Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Onboarding, LMS; performance management functionality to be expanded)
Beacon Hill’s client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their expanding team. This is a position designed to support continued organizational growth and evolving people initiatives. The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to leaders and employees, providing hands-on HR support across performance management, employee relations, recruiting support, benefits administration, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers, offering guidance on policies, procedures, and employee-related matters
- Lead and support the performance management process, including goal alignment, anniversary-based reviews, feedback conversations, documentation, and development planning, with an opportunity to help formalize and enhance current processes
- Partner with hiring managers to support the recruitment lifecycle by assisting with job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding activities, in collaboration with an in-house recruiter
- Provide support with benefits administration, including open enrollment activities, employee inquiries, and coordination with payroll and external benefits partners
- Ensure HR compliance by maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with audits and reporting, and supporting updates to HR policies and the employee handbook
- Assist with employee relations matters by helping address concerns, supporting investigations, and promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace
- Contribute to HR initiatives and process improvements that align people practices with business objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a broad HR generalist role
- Solid understanding of performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding efforts
- Exposure to benefits administration and vendor coordination
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively coach and support leaders
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Experience using Paycom or a similar HRIS platform preferred
