Interim Marketing Manager
Location: Hybrid 2 days a week onsite in Minneapolis, MN office, other 3 days remote (as determined by Beacon Hill’s client)
Duration: Interim / Contract 2-3 months
Beacon Hill’s client is seeking an experienced Interim Marketing Manager to provide hands-on leadership and continuity across the firm’s marketing function while a permanent hire is underway. This role will step in quickly to oversee daily marketing operations, support strategic initiatives, and guide a small, evolving team through an active transition period.
What You’ll Do
In this interim leadership role, you will take ownership of the organization’s day-to-day marketing activities while ensuring ongoing initiatives continue seamlessly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the daily execution of marketing initiatives and acting as the primary point of accountability for the firm’s marketing function
- Leading and supporting a small marketing team (including full-time, part-time, and open roles), providing direction, prioritization, and mentorship
- Coordinating and ensuring the successful execution of scheduled and upcoming webinars
- Managing the organization’s LinkedIn presence, including content oversight and engagement
- Planning, organizing, and executing firm-sponsored events
- Supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and client pitch materials
- Owning website content by managing updates, maintenance, and ongoing improvements
In addition to hands-on execution, this role will:
- Evaluate current marketing efforts and tools
- Provide recommendations and a forward-looking plan to strengthen and optimize the firm’s marketing strategy and structure
Required Technical Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Canva
- CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft 365
- SharePoint
- Zoom
- Video editing tools (Wondershare, Camtasia, or similar)
- Video hosting and marketing platforms (YouTube, Vimeo)
- WordPress
- Advanced Excel skills are a strong plus
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- Proven people management experience is required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate cross-functionally, and influence stakeholders
