A National law firm in New York is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a corporate practice group while also assisting with day-to-day office operations. This role blends legal support, administrative coordination, and office management responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents (contracts, agreements, presentations, spreadsheets); manage redlining and document conversions
- Support transactional matters, including document execution, tracking, and file management
- Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, manage travel, and assist with time entry and billing
- Organize and maintain client files and records with strict confidentiality
- Conduct basic legal and corporate research as needed
- Serve as an on-site point of contact for office operations, vendor coordination, and supply management
- Coordinate logistics across multiple office locations and support special projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting corporate attorneys
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with billing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of legal terminology, document formatting, and procedures
- Professional, proactive, and client-service oriented
Education
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
