Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a part-time Legal Assistant for a fully remote, temporary position with our client based in Decatur, GA. Candidates may expect to work 15-20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare compliance and whistleblower/ qui tam law. Prior experience utilizing the case management system “Clio” is required. Essential duties include:
- Assist with new client intake, including screening interview and file setup
- Assist with law firm operational needs, including:
- Prepare monthly invoices in Clio
- Pay bills such as Bar license fees, membership dues, and vendor bills
- Work with attorneys to create, format, and proofread legal documents and presentations, including correspondence, court pleadings, excel files, and slide decks
- Manage administrative tasks such as returning phone calls, scheduling meetings, and managing attorney’s calendar, contacts file, and email inbox
- Organize and maintain electronic case files in OneDrive Coordinate scheduling of meetings and phone calls
- Provide litigation support such as bates-numbering documents in Adobe Acrobat and filing federal court pleadings on PACER. Occasional office work such as scanning and purging paper files
