Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a boutique trial and litigation firm seeking an experienced Paralegal to support its Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. As the Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys and legal staff playing a key role across a variety of active bankruptcy matters. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity that offers the flexibility of one remote day per week after a successful onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle electronic court filings in state and federal trial and appellate courts
- Docket, calendar, and monitor deadlines, hearings, and court dates for active matters
- Organize and maintain pleadings, exhibits, hearing notebooks, indexes, and case files
- Review, prepare, and process legal documents, including pleadings, court orders, and related filings
- Prepare Tables of Contents, Tables of Authorities, and appendices for court submissions
- Provide comprehensive litigation and administrative support to attorneys in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice
- Coordinate with attorneys, staff, and court personnel to communicate case status and ensure compliance with court rules and firm procedures
Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience supporting bankruptcy litigation, with direct hands-on Chapter 11 experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, with experience using CM/ECF and PACER
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, including strong written and verbal communication and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, building effective relationships with attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, and court personnel
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure, multitask, and maintain flexibility, including availability for overtime as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certification preferred (BLS certification a plus)
