The Opportunity
A leading AmLaw firm is seeking a mid-level corporate associate to join its Investment Services practice in New York or Washington DC. The team is cohesive and highly collaborative, with a multidisciplinary practice that offers close interaction with shareholders and meaningful involvement in business development and client‑facing work. Qualifications
- 3+ years of corporate and securities law experience at a law firm, with a focus on SEC‑registered investment advisers and private investment funds (including private equity, venture capital, real estate funds, and similar vehicles)
- Experience advising on regulatory and compliance matters under federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, and Securities Act of 1933
- Transactional and/or M&A experience involving investment advisers or private investment funds is preferred (e.g., adviser M&A, continuation vehicles, secondary transactions)
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- J.D. with strong academic credentials and admission (or progress toward admission) in New York, or Washington, DC

Compensation
Base salary range: $260,000 – $340,000, commensurate with class year and experience.
