Beacon Hill Associates is hiring for an HR & Office Administrator in a professional office environment. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding processes, maintaining HR records, supporting compliance activities, and providing a welcoming first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls.
Assignment Details
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:10 PM
Assignment: Up to 12 weeks
Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour
Software: Paylocity, eScreen, Checker, Clear Company
Training: On-the-job training
Environment: Fully in-office
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Coordinate and facilitate the full new hire onboarding process, including offer letters, screenings, background checks, drug screenings, and I-9 verification
- Prepare and process new hire documentation and system setup within the HRIS platform
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with employee status updates and leave tracking
- Enter and verify weekly field employee timesheets within the HRIS system
- Process employee terminations and offboarding documentation
- Generate HR reports related to headcount, turnover, and attendance
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Support compliance with labor laws, EEO requirements, and internal policies
- Assist with training coordination, employee engagement initiatives, and internal events
- Support collection and submission of required tax documentation for local and state compliance
Front Desk & Office Administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and incoming phone calls
- Greet guests, direct visitors appropriately, and maintain visitor logs
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Maintain a clean and organized reception and shared office spaces
- Monitor and restock office and café supplies as needed
- Assist with internal communications, meeting scheduling, and administrative coordination
Candidate Profile
- 1-3 years of experience in HR support, office administration, or related roles
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting onboarding processes, benefits administration, or HR compliance is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital filing systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, and internal teams in a front-facing role
