Temporary Office Manager / Administrative Assistant (4‑5 Month Contract)
Location: Santa Monica, CA 90401
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PT
Start Date: Ideally ASAP
Duration: Through end of November
Comp: $36/hour
Our client is a global investment firm specializing in private equity and flexible capital solutions for business owners and portfolio company employees. The firm operates in a fast‑paced, polished, and highly collaborative environment.
They are seeking a Temporary Office Manager / Administrative Assistant to support the Santa Monica office during a maternity leave. This is a key role supporting a 20‑person office, including close partnership with 11 team members and occasional support for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary front‑desk presence and first point of contact for employees, guests, and vendors
- Manage daily office operations including restocking supplies and coordinating facilities requests
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, travel coordination (including group bookings), and expense processing
- Handle expense reports for one Partner and assist with approximately 14 total expense submissions
- Maintain a polished, organized, and professional office environment
- Support onboarding logistics and general administrative needs across the team
- Respond quickly to internal requests (typically within 30 minutes) and ensure timely follow‑through
- Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks and jump in wherever needed
