Human Resources Specialist – Contingent Workforce

Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Pay Rate: $28-$29 per hour
Status: Contract coverage – open ended with opportunity to extend and become perm in 2027 for the right candidate

Position Overview

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking an HR Coordinator (Contingent Workforce Team) to support core HR coordination and day-to-day administrative functions as the team navigates a leave coverage. This role will primarily backfill existing HR Coordinator duties and provide dependable support as responsibilities transition while their HR leader is on a leave of abscene.

They’re targeting a sharp candidate with adjacent HR experience-someone with a strong attitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to jump in and learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HR operations and provide administrative coordination across key HR processes
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks including paperwork, system updates, and orientation logistics
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and ensure data integrity and confidentiality
  • Help coordinate benefits-related changes and respond to routine employee questions with professionalism and discretion
  • Support recruiting coordination as needed (interview scheduling, candidate communication, documentation support)
  • Prepare routine HR reporting, track documentation, and support compliance-related activities
  • Partner with the HR team on projects, process documentation, and shifting priorities as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Assistant, People Ops, or adjacent HR support role
  • Exposure to HR fundamentals such as onboarding, employee records, benefits support, or recruiting coordination
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details
  • Quick learner with a proactive, can-do approach and strong customer service mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); HRIS experience is a plus
