We’re seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee daily operations of an affordable housing community in Nashville, TN. This role leads onsite teams, manages leasing and financial performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a welcoming, well‑maintained environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise office and maintenance teams
- Oversee leasing, marketing, recertifications, and administrative operations
- Manage budgets, rent collection, delinquencies, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs (Project‑Based Section 8, HUD, LIHTC, etc.)
- Maintain strong resident relationships and handle tenant matters professionally
- Oversee property maintenance and operational improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of property management experience
- Affordable housing experience required (Project‑Based Section 8)
- Strong financial and budgeting skills
- Experience with property management systems (RealPage, OneSite, JD Edwards, or similar)
- Proven leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Resident‑focused, proactive, and detail‑oriented
