Position Overview
This role is a critical backfill for a senior-level individual contributor within the procurement team. The Procurement Buyer will play a key role in driving SAP expertise, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, and enhancing procurement data visibility and reporting. This position is not purely transactional and will provide meaningful strategic exposure.
Essential Job Functions
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives including RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations
- Create and manage purchase orders while tracking supplier performance and delivery timelines (~20%)
- Serve as a key point of contact for supplier communication and relationship management (~20%)
- Maintain and improve procurement data integrity through SAP reporting and analytics (~60%)
- Utilize SAP S/4HANA to manage procurement workflows, reporting, and data structures
- Develop and analyze procurement reports using SAP and advanced Excel tools
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, automation, and visibility
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and supply chain teams
- Support both direct and indirect procurement activities across multiple categories
- Contribute to process improvements and evolving procurement team structure
