Job Description
- Design and develop marine and electro-mechanical systems and support equipment for operation in demanding maritime environments.
- Create detailed engineering designs, models, drawings, and documentation to support product development, testing, manufacturing, and fielding activities.
- Perform engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), to evaluate structural integrity and dynamic performance of mechanical systems.
- Support prototype development, integration, testing, validation, and production of marine hardware and launch/recovery systems.
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical data packages using industry-standard design software.
- Provide engineering support for MK 18 Support Equipment and launch and recovery systems, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and mission readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the design, testing, production, and documentation of hardware intended for marine environments.
- At least 2 years of experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) for dynamic or structurally complex systems.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing and developing electro-mechanical systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Extensive experience supporting MK 18 Support Equipment, including at least 8 years of experience with the 11-meter RHIB Side Launch & Recovery System (SL&RS) and Stern Gate Launch & Recovery (SGL&R) systems.
