Overview

We are seeking a Senior Copilot & Azure AI Foundry Engineer to lead the design, development, optimization, and scaling of enterprise AI solutions built on Microsoft’s Azure AI ecosystem. This role will be responsible for modernizing AI platforms, enhancing Copilot Studio implementations, and delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable AI architectures that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize and enhance Microsoft Copilot Studio agents by improving topic structures, routing logic, and overall solution maintainability.
  • Transition traditional rule-based conversational experiences into modern generative AI solutions using Azure AI services.
  • Design and implement advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures leveraging Azure AI Foundry, Cognitive Search, vector databases, and embeddings.
  • Develop sophisticated AI capabilities including context retention, multi-step reasoning, summarization, orchestration, and function calling.
  • Build and manage end-to-end MLOps pipelines, including model deployment, versioning, monitoring, CI/CD processes, and governance.
  • Serve as a technical leader, defining scalable cloud and AI architectures while establishing best practices for development and operations.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions and create operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support playbooks.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or solution architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering production AI/ML solutions.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Expert-level Python development experience focused on AI, automation, and cloud solutions.
  • Experience with one or more additional development languages such as C#, .NET, or Java.
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector search technologies.
  • Experience with MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills with the ability to improve existing AI platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing enterprise-scale AI platforms in Azure.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud automation.
  • Experience implementing responsible AI, security, and governance best practices.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills.
