Montgomery County Family Law Attorney

A highly regarded Mid-Atlantic law firm with a nationally recognized reputation for serving privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals is seeking a Family Law Associate to join its growing domestic relations practice. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced family law practitioners in a collaborative environment while taking meaningful ownership of your cases.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can step into an active practice and independently manage matters with minimal supervision. The team is seeking a true family law attorney, not a litigator looking to transition into the practice area.

Qualifications:

• Active bar admission in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. (Virginia admission is a plus)
• 4+ years of family law experience
• Experience handling matters involving:
  • Separation and divorce
  • Child custody and visitation
  • Child support
  • Spousal support/alimony
  • Equitable distribution and division of marital property
• Ability to manage contested custody and divorce matters from inception through resolution
• Strong courtroom and hearing experience

Compensation & Benefits:

• Target salary: $120,000-$160,000, depending on experience
• Bonus eligibility beginning at 1,700 billable hours
• Enhanced bonus opportunities at higher productivity levels, with a formula-based structure beginning at 2,000 hours
