IP Paralegal

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an Patent Paralegal with Information Disclosure Experience for a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity.

This is an indefinite contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Candidates must be local to the Boston area.

Position Overview

The Information Disclosure Patent Paralegal will support the patent prosecution process by managing all aspects of Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) and ensuring compliance with USPTO and international patent office requirements. This role will work closely with attorneys to ensure timely and accurate disclosure across global patent portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, categorize, and track prior art references from U.S. and foreign patent offices
• Prepare and file IDS submissions with the USPTO and coordinate corresponding international filings
• Maintain disclosure logs, reference databases, and docketing entries
• Monitor deadlines and proactively manage high-volume IDS workflows
• Support attorneys with portfolio audits, cross-citations, and prosecution strategy

Qualifications

• Experience with patent prosecution and IDS procedures required
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Familiarity with patent docketing systems and reference management tools
• Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven workflows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Details

• 100% remote but MUST be local to the Boston area
• Long-term contract with potential for permanent hire
• Full-time schedule, standard business hours
