Junior Commercial Contracts Attorney (Counsel)

A growing organization in the healthcare services and technology space is seeking a Junior Commercial Counsel with 3+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders across multiple functions, providing practical legal guidance and driving complex contract negotiations from start to finish. Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including services agreements, SaaS contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, business associate agreements, and related amendments.
• Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and business partners.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, legal risks, and negotiation strategies.
• Partner with teams across sales, finance, operations, IT, and human resources to support business objectives.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and contracting processes.
• Support contract lifecycle management, compliance tracking, and renewal activities.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, either in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology, or data privacy experience is preferred but not required.
• Candidates with strong commercial contracting experience and an interest in this area will be considered.

Location: Washington, DC area preferred; remote candidates may be considered.
