Title: Program / Operations Coordinator (Temporary)
Location: Allston, MA (Hybrid – ~3 days onsite + event coverage)
Schedule: ~35 hours/week (some evenings and occasional Saturdays required)
Duration: Late June through late November
Compensation: ~$37/hour
Overview
A leading academic and innovation-driven institution is seeking a Program / Operations Coordinator to support a dynamic entrepreneurship and engineering-focused initiative during a leave coverage. This role will work closely with senior leadership to deliver programming, support stakeholder engagement, and help drive initiatives within a highly collaborative ecosystem.
Position Summary
This individual will play a key role in executing programs and events that support an entrepreneurial and research-focused community. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working across a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to support strategy and execution of programs within an innovation-focused ecosystem
- Coordinate and execute events such as workshops, networking sessions, speaker events, and research programs
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, and partner organizations
- Identify opportunities to strengthen programming and community engagement
- Track program impact and maintain reporting metrics (KPIs)
- Manage partnerships with external organizations, including startups, accelerators, and venture groups
- Maintain communication channels including newsletters, website updates, and social platforms
- Support event logistics including scheduling, catering, room setup, and onsite execution
- Manage project timelines and task tracking using project management tools
- Attend events (including evenings and occasional weekends) to ensure smooth execution
- Provide general administrative and operational support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of administrative, program coordination, or operations experience
- Experience with event planning and logistics
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, or academic environments is a plus
