Mailroom Operator

Beacon Hill is hiring a Mailroom Clerk for a onsite opportunity supporting daily mailroom, shipping/receiving, inventory, and office services operations. This client-facing role requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage mail distribution, package processing, office supply inventory, and company store operations in a professional office environment.

Position Details

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Process outgoing shipments through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers
  • Create shipping labels and maintain package tracking records
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and carrier-related issues
  • Prepare bulk mail reports and support mailroom documentation
  • Maintain mailroom organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
  • Manage inventory for office, mailroom, and facility supplies
  • Support company store operations, including stocking, inventory management, and product replenishment
  • Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory using FIFO practices, and remove expired or damaged items
  • Maintain copier and printer supplies, including toner and paper inventory
  • Collaborate with facility management teams to support workplace operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service while responding to employee and client requests
  • Identify operational concerns and escalate issues when appropriate

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years of mailroom, office services, administrative, shipping/receiving, or related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
