A Florida law firm has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Miami litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of civil litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with attorneys representing clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including commercial litigation, product liability, insurance defense, transportation, professional liability, and other complex business disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal
  • Maintain and organize litigation files, both electronic and physical
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence
  • Review, organize, and summarize documents, deposition transcripts, and discovery materials
  • Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and case management reports
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial logistics
  • Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
  • Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain attorney calendars
  • Assist with document production, exhibit preparation, trial notebooks, and courtroom support
  • Perform electronic court filings in Florida state and federal courts
  • Support attorneys with additional litigation-related responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent civil litigation paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Experience managing complex litigation files and large document productions
  • Proficiency in preparing discovery, organizing case materials, and trial preparation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation document management systems
  • Trial experience is preferred
