A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Patent Litigation Paralegal to support high‑stakes intellectual property litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role works closely with attorneys and paralegal teams throughout all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial, including matters before federal courts and administrative bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all stages of IP litigation, including case management, filings, and trial preparation
- Draft and assist with court filings in federal and state courts
- Manage discovery: document collection, review, organization, and production
- Assist with infringement and invalidity contentions and related filings
- Support claim construction briefing and hearing preparation
- Conduct cite-checking, proofreading, and Bluebook compliance
- Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and client meetings
- Maintain case files, dockets, and deadlines
- Mentor junior paralegals and legal assistants
Qualifications:
- Strong experience supporting complex litigation matters end-to-end
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively across offices
- Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as needed
Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in IP, preferanbly with Patent Law
- Familiarity with litigation workflows, procedures, and filings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
- Experience with legal research platforms and document management systems
- Hands-on experience with eDiscovery tools (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap)
- Knowledge of patent processes, terminology, and prior art research
