Our client is seeking a Compensation and Workforce Partner to join their Human Resources team at their beautiful corporate office located in the West Lake Hills area of Austin, TX. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits and the ability to work hybrid after the initial 90 days of onsite employment. This person will support the administration, analysis, and maintenance of the organization’s compensation and workforce programs. This role assists with market pricing, salary administration, compensation analysis, workforce reporting, job documentation, and internal equity reviews to support consistent and data-driven compensation decisions. Using market data, internal workforce information, and established compensation guidelines, the position helps maintain compensation and workforce data, supports reporting and planning activities, and provides operational support for HR processes and initiatives. This position works under general supervision and partners with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and business leaders to ensure compensation and workforce processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Essential Duties
- Supports the administration of compensation programs, processes, guidelines, and tools in accordance with established compensation philosophy, policies, and governance practices.
- Assists with market pricing for new, revised, and existing positions using approved compensation survey sources, including Mercer and Radford McLagan.
- Reviews job descriptions, job requirements, and organizational information to support job evaluation, market benchmarking, and compensation analysis.
- Maintains job descriptions, job architecture records, salary grade information, survey matches, and related documentation, including annual review and update processes.
- Supports annual salary administration activities, including merit planning, promotional increase reviews, salary structure maintenance, and compensation data validation.
- Assists with internal equity reviews by preparing compensation data, identifying potential outliers, and summarizing findings for HR leadership review.
- Supports compensation survey participation, data validation, analysis, and market competitiveness reviews to inform compensation decisions and salary structure maintenance.
- Prepares compensation and workforce reports, analytics, staffing summaries, and headcount reporting to support workforce planning and business decisions.
- Supports workforce planning activities by maintaining workforce data and assisting with position management processes.
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition and Workforce Partner to support requisition tracking, position documentation, workforce reporting, and hiring-related compensation reviews.
- Supports compensation reviews for job offers and employee pay actions, including promotions, transfers, and equity adjustments, in accordance with established guidelines and approval processes.
- Maintains accurate compensation, workforce, and job architecture data within HR systems and approved tracking tools.
- Assists with HR process documentation, procedures, workflows, and desk guides to support consistency and audit readiness.
- Provides administrative and operational support through meeting coordination, document management, reporting, communications, and presentation preparation.
- Responds to routine compensation, workforce, and HR process inquiries, escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
- Supports internal audits, external audits, compliance reviews, and data requests by gathering documentation, validating information, and preparing requested materials.
- Identifies opportunities to improve compensation, workforce, and HR administrative processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to support the effective operation of the department and organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience supporting compensation programs, market pricing, salary administration, workforce analytics, or related HR functions.
- Experience working with compensation data, salary survey data, job descriptions, salary structures, and workforce information.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, filtering, sorting, pivot tables, and data validation.
- Experience preparing reports, data summaries, and analytical findings for HR leadership or business stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements
- Professional certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or other relevant compensation, workforce analytics, human resources, or workforce planning certification.
- Experience using compensation survey tools and market data sources such as Mercer, Radford McLagan, or comparable platforms.
- Experience supporting compensation programs, including salary administration, merit planning, and pay review processes.
- Experience supporting job architecture, workforce planning, headcount reporting, and position management activities.
- Experience using HR, compensation, recruiting, reporting, or data management systems and supporting audit or compliance activities.
