A growing organization in the St. Louis Park area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a short term contract role to join its finance team for up to 3 months plus. Key Responsibilities:
* Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
* Prepare ACH and check payment batches
* Review employee expense reports and ensure policy compliance
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
* Assist with month-end close activities and AP analysis
* Prepare 1099s, sales/use tax filings, and audit support documentation
* Manage corporate credit card transactions and import activity into the ERP system
* Maintain AP procedures and provide exceptional internal and external customer support
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
* Strong GL coding, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
* Experience with ERP systems; Deltek Vantagepoint experience is a plus
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience preferred
