About the Role
A leading professional services organization is seeking a highly organized and proactive Practice Assistant to provide administrative and client-facing support to attorneys and legal professionals. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals.
- Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal and business documents.
- Coordinate client communications, mailings, filing, and document management.
- Support billing, time entry, matter opening, and engagement documentation.
- Assist with event coordination, client relationship initiatives, and attorney credential tracking.
- Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy across all administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to provide cross-functional coverage and support.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm is REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written, verbal, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently.
- Experience supporting legal professionals and litigation-related practices is a plus.
- Notary Public certification preferred.

Salary Range: $77,000 – $100,000 annually (Long Island, NY), based on experience and qualifications.
