Contract Sr. Compensation Analyst
Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (or similar hours)
Duration: Contract position with potential for extension based on performance and business needs
Beacon Hill is partnering with a leading financial services organization to hire a Sr. Compensation Analyst for a contract opportunity in the Twin Cities. This role is ideal for an experienced compensation professional who can quickly contribute to key compensation initiatives, including annual salary planning, compensation analysis, market pricing, and HR systems support. The primary focus of this position will be supporting an upcoming salary planning cycle through testing, analysis, and system administration activities within Workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide analytical and testing support for annual compensation processes, including merit planning, incentive planning, and pay equity analysis.
- Assist with salary planning activities by developing test cases, executing test scenarios, and validating compensation processes.
- Manage compensation survey participation and salary benchmarking activities using market pricing tools.
- Conduct compensation analyses and market comparisons to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Partner with HR, Compensation, and Technology teams to support compensation programs and HRIS functionality.
- Assist with compensation projects including job evaluations, pay analyses, incentive design, and related initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance compensation reporting, dashboards, and training materials.
- Review and support compensation policies to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Provide support on additional compensation projects and initiatives as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation Module.
- Previous experience supporting annual compensation cycles and system testing initiatives.
- Experience managing compensation surveys and market pricing data.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting compensation programs, analyses, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of compensation administration and salary planning processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Experience with compensation benchmarking, market pricing platforms, and pay range modeling.
- Experience administering compensation programs within Workday.
- Ability to work independently and quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.
