HR Team Assistant (Part-Time Contract)
Sauk Centre, MN (Onsite)
Position Details
- Schedule: 30 hours per week
- Assignment Length: Initial 3-month contract
- Hours: Flexible schedule, minimum of 30 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour, depending on experience
- Start Date: ASAP
Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a friendly, organized, and customer-focused HR Team Assistant to support a busy Human Resources department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with employees, coordinating events and programs, and providing administrative support in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The HR team is currently supporting significant company growth, making this a highly visible role with the opportunity to contribute to employee engagement initiatives, onboarding activities, training coordination, and day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events
- Assist with revitalizing and coordinating the employee mentor program
- Coordinate employee birthday celebrations and special events
- Track and manage employee gift card programs
- Help organize monthly employee breakfasts, including preparation, setup, serving, and cleanup
- Maintain employee training records in electronic and paper formats
- Update employee communication boards and digital displays
- Assist with phone screenings and interview scheduling as needed
- Prepare onboarding paperwork and new hire documentation
- Support benefits and insurance enrollment administration
- Coordinate new hire first-day activities, including lunch arrangements
HR Administrative Support
- Maintain employee files and HR records
- Schedule employee hearing tests with third-party vendors
- Process expense reports and administrative paperwork
- Assist with HR projects and day-to-day departmental operations
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Previous administrative, HR, customer service, or office support experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and relationship-focused
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
