Contract Sales Operations Specialist
Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a highly organized Sales Operations Specialist to support a growing sales organization in New Hope, MN. This role is responsible for keeping commercial activities moving efficiently by managing sales processes, coordinating customer requests, maintaining business data, and partnering with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working behind the scenes to drive organization, accountability, and operational excellence while helping the sales team focus on growing customer relationships.
Position Details:
Location: New Hope, MN (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Pay: $27-$30 per hour, depending on previous experience
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to manage administrative and operational activities that support revenue growth and customer engagement.
- Oversee the quotation process from start to finish by coordinating with internal stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring customers receive pricing information in a timely manner.
- Keep customer opportunities active by regularly following up on quotes, product samples, projects, pending requests, and sales-related action items.
- Ensure customer records, pricing details, sales opportunities, and related documentation remain accurate and up to date within CRM and ERP platforms.
- Assist Account Managers with customer communications, internal coordination, and coverage needs during travel, PTO, or other absences.
- Facilitate the distribution of product samples, technical resources, marketing collateral, and customer-facing materials throughout the sales cycle.
- Work closely with teams across Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Product Development, Finance, and Quality to ensure customer requirements are communicated clearly and projects progress as expected.
- Generate reports and summaries related to sales activity, pipeline performance, customer engagement, and business planning initiatives.
- Evaluate current workflows and contribute ideas that improve efficiency, customer responsiveness, and overall commercial operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives while supporting additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting sales operations, customer service, inside sales, commercial support, or a similar function.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Experience working with CRM and ERP systems in a business environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing setting where priorities may shift frequently.
