Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Associate I to support a growing scientific team focused on biologics and advanced therapeutic development. This individual will contribute to laboratory-based process development activities by executing experiments, maintaining cell cultures, collecting data, and supporting the development of scalable manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting early-stage development programs and process optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand mammalian cell cultures using aseptic laboratory techniques.
  • Support laboratory-scale process development and manufacturing studies.
  • Collect and analyze routine samples to monitor process performance.
  • Prepare laboratory materials, media, buffers, and other required consumables.
  • Assist with equipment operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Support experiment setup, execution, documentation, and sample management activities.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and experimental documentation.
  • Present findings and project updates to team members as needed.
  • Assist with routine laboratory operations and scheduling activities.
  • Foster a safe, organized, and collaborative laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or another related scientific field.
  • 0 to 2 years of laboratory, research, internship, or industry experience.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and sterile laboratory techniques preferred.
  • Exposure to bioprocessing, biotechnology, biologics manufacturing, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with common molecular biology and analytical laboratory techniques is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
