An up and coming law firm in Orlando is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support a busy and growing family law practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on a wide range of family law matters in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a substantial caseload while providing exceptional support throughout all stages of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of family law matters, including divorce, paternity, child support, timesharing, modifications, and post-judgment proceedings.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, notices, financial affidavits, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
- Maintain case calendars and monitor deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
- Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of exhibits, trial binders, and hearing materials.
- Review, organize, and summarize financial records and other case-related documents.
- Manage discovery, including document collection, production, and tracking.
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors.
- Maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic case files.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients navigating sensitive legal matters.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of family law paralegal experience in a law firm is required.
- Paralegal certificate and/or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court rules.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
