Title: Senior Manager, M&A Advisory
Comp: $160,000-$200,000 + Bonus
Location: West Los Angeles (10&405)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our growing M&A Advisory practice. This individual will lead financial due diligence engagements for private equity firms, strategic buyers, and middle-market companies while managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members.
The ideal candidate began their career in public accounting at either a Big 4 or large national CPA firm that transitioned into Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), Financial Due Diligence (FDD), Deal Advisory, or M&A Consulting. This role offers significant exposure to acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and strategic transactions across a variety of industries.
Responsibilities
- Lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients.
- Analyze historical financial statements, earnings quality, working capital trends, cash flow, and debt considerations.
- Identify transaction risks, key business drivers, and potential deal issues.
- Prepare and review quality of earnings (QofE) reports, due diligence findings, and client presentations.
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, investment bankers, attorneys, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Assist clients with deal structuring considerations, purchase price adjustments, and transaction-related analyses.
- Evaluate accounting policies and financial reporting matters under U.S. GAAP.
- Mentor and develop Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates.
- Support business development efforts through networking, proposal development, and relationship management.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and practice growth initiatives.
General Comments
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA strongly preferred; CFA is a plus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or M&A consulting.
- Prior Big 4 or large national public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading M&A transactions from diligence through close.
