Customer Service Representative

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join their team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized professional who enjoys managing customer accounts, coordinating orders, and working cross-functionally to ensure exceptional service. Position Details

  • Location: Full-Time Onsite
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, Regular Business Hours
  • Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
  • Pay Rate: $25-$26 per hour, depending on previous experience

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for customers, supporting order fulfillment, delivery coordination, and account management activities. This role works closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining high levels of service, accuracy, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer purchase orders and manage order information within company systems.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, planning, and other departments to support on-time delivery commitments.
  • Monitor customer replenishment schedules and ensure appropriate order releases are processed.
  • Manage multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, lead times, and potential issues.
  • Investigate and escalate concerns related to service, quality, pricing, or delivery performance when necessary.
  • Maintain account records, document customer system updates, and ensure customer information remains current.
  • Review customer scorecards, resolve discrepancies, and assist with corrective action efforts when needed.
  • Support production planning activities by considering capacity, scheduling constraints, and anticipated delays.
  • Analyze workflow processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend efficiencies.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide timely solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through consistent communication and professional service.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote a safe, team-oriented work environment while supporting company policies and operational goals.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of customer service, account management, order management, procurement, inventory, materials management, or related experience.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
