HR Coordinator

Location: Bloomington, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Regular Business Hours
Work Arrangement: Full-Time Onsite
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour

About the Opportunity

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Coordinator to support a growing team in Bloomington, MN. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing human resources responsibilities with administrative coordination and project support. The successful candidate will play a key role in employee onboarding, recruiting efforts, compliance tracking, office event coordination, records management, and day-to-day operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records by organizing, updating, and reviewing both electronic and paper files in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with talent acquisition efforts by posting positions, reviewing applicant materials, and coordinating interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Help organize and support college recruiting initiatives and campus-based hiring events.
  • Prepare employment offer documentation, coordinate screening activities, and process new hire notifications.
  • Facilitate onboarding activities by scheduling orientation activities, preparing welcome materials, and ensuring a positive new hire experience.
  • Monitor compliance-related documentation and reporting requirements, including employment eligibility verification and other required workforce reporting activities.
  • Coordinate employee-focused programs and assist with travel-related and housing-related arrangements.
  • Partner with leadership to organize meetings, company events, presentations, and employee engagement activities.
  • Maintain HR forms, documents, and internal content across various digital platforms.
  • Support special projects by preparing documentation and organizing files for new business initiatives.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipping activities, maintain shipment tracking, and investigate delivery issues when needed.
  • Order and monitor office, breakroom, and printing supplies while maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Review and process invoices related to office purchases and supply orders.
  • Provide additional administrative and project support to the People & Culture team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or a related role; previous HR Coordinator experience is highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and internal systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism with the ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees across multiple teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, onboarding activities, employee records management, and employment regulations.
